Squire’s Food Hall
How do we set the bar for a modern food retail experience?
Squire’s launched its Food Hall in Frensham, with the vision to bring delicious produce – often locally sourced – to its communities. Our approach was to develop a unique proposition, tapping into the trend for artisan food, but modernising the aesthetic to set a new bar.
First, we ran a brand workshop to explore residual, dominant and emergent visual equities in the artisan food space. We then designed a contemporary identity, leading with a bright pop of yellow grounded in a light wood and monochrome aesthetic to bring a touch of modern luxury. We created a home icon to link into our strapline ‘The home of delicious discoveries’ and used it to create frames and patterns that linked back to what Squire’s Food Halls are all about.
We worked closely with the architects to ensure the brand followed through in interiors and customer journey in-store, creating a holistic brand experience that set Squire’s apart from your cookie-cutter artisan food store.
